Aims and Scope: Communications in Number Theory and Physics is an international journal focused on applications of Number Theory in the broadest sense to Theoretical Physics. The journal offers a forum for communication among researchers in Number Theory and Theoretical Physics by publishing primarily research, review, and expository articles regarding the relationship and dynamics between the two fields.
The journal covers the following areas of research:
Readership In recent years, the world has seen explosive interactions between Number Theory, Arithmetic Geometry and Theoretical Physics, particularly in String Theory. To name a few examples, modular and quasi-modular forms appear in many areas in Physics - e.g., mirror symmetry, Gromov-Witten invariants, Calabi-Yaus. Also, modularity questions of Calabi-Yau varieties and higher-dimensional varieties in connection with the Langlands Program are receiving considerable attention and feedback from the physics fields. Via renormalization, Feynman integrals are related to multiple zeta-values, and purportedly to motives. The zeta-functions and L-series appear in many works in the liturature of physics. It is desired that we have a common forum for communication among mathematicians and physicists working in the interface of Number Theory, Arithmetic and Algebraic Geometry, and Theoretical Physics - e.g., Mirror Symmetry, String Theory, Conformal Field Theory, Quantum Field Theory, and Topological Field Theory, among others. Our aim is to publish mathematically rigorous research articles evaluated by at least two referees for each paper. Also we aim to publish timely expository papers which explain mathematics to physicists and physics to mathematicians. The journal offers a home for computational and experimental findings in Number Theory and Theoretical Physics. Readership includes researchers and graduate students who are interested in Number Theory, Index Theory, K-Theory, Arithmetic Geometry, Algebraic and Complex Geometry, Differential Equations, String Theory, Theoretial Physics (High Energy) and all string theory related topics of a number theoretic nature. The journal will be an electronic journal, published quarterly per annum. The printed version will also be published. Indexing and Reviews Description TBA To Subscribe to or Renew Subscriptions:
