Book Returns
Book returns must be received by us in its original condition within sixty (60) days of the invoice date (12 months for resellers). A $15 processing fee will be assessed for each shipment of returned books. Please enclose a copy of the original invoice or packing slip for all returns to avoid an additional 10% processing penalty. Please also indicate preferred method of credit (check or credit card). For check, please allow thirty (30) days for a refund check to be received. We will issue a full refund for the price of any item you return that meets these conditions. We can only refund shipping costs if the return is a result of our error. Proof of return from a third party shipper may be required. For your protection, we recommend that you return titles using an insured method of shipping. International Press is not liable for lost packages. For damaged items, International Press reserves the right to determine on a case-by-case base whether a claim is accepted for return or exchange.

Book and Journal Claims
Claims for book product must be confirmed in writing and received by us within sixty (60) days of the invoice date. Claims for journals issues must be filed within six (6) months of mailing dates. Please call us if assistance is required, or e-mail: ipb-claims@intlpress.com.

Sales Tax
MA residents are charged applicable sales tax to book purchases and journal subscriptions. For orders from tax-exempt institutions, please provide your certificate at the time of purchase.

Prices and Payment
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice. In the case of an ambiguity in price or promotional offer, the terms and conditions set and interpreted by International Press will be considered final. Society discounts are valid only if the discount is not in addition to other discounts, sales, or promotions.

Backorders
Book titles not available are automatically backordered and will be fullfilled as soon as available. Reprints may take up to several months. Customers will be informed of the time required to receive the title.

Journal Cancellations
No cancellation or refund requests for a journal will be accepted for the current year once a subscription has been processed.

Subscribing early

A customer can pay for a given calendar year's subscription as early as October 1 of the previous calendar year. If online access is purchased, it is granted immediately.

Online access

On subscribing to a journal for online access (either alone or with a print subscription), the customer immediately receives ongoing and permanent access, for all futurity, to:

• all online issues (of that journal) of the paid subscription year itself.
• all online issues (of that journal) from all years prior to that subscription year.

If a customer chooses not to renew their subscription to the journal, they continue to receive permanent and ongoing access to all online issues (of that journal) of the last-paid subscription year, and from all years prior to the last-paid subscription year.

All older online journal issues -- from subscription years five or more prior to the current calendar year -- have no access restrictions, and are entirely free for anyone to access online. Thus:

• During the calendar year 2006 (Jan. 1 through Dec. 31), all journal issues of 2001 and earlier years are free for anyone to access online.
• During the calendar year 2007 (Jan. 1 through Dec. 31), all journal issues of 2002 and earlier years are free for anyone to access online.
