Aims and Scope

Statistics and Its Interface is an international statistical journal promoting the interface between statistics and other disciplines including, but not limited to, biomedical sciences, geosciences, computer sciences, engineering, and social and behavioral sciences. The journal publishes high-quality articles in broad areas of statistical science, emphasizing substantive problems, sound statistical models and methods, clear and efficient computational algorithms, and insightful discussions of the motivating problems.

Publication information

The first issue of Statistics and Its Interface will appear in or before June 2008, and the second issue in the second half of 2008. In its first year, two issues will be published. Thereafter four issues will be published annually. SII will be published both online and in print. The printed journal is expected to be in letter (8.5 x 11 inches) or A4 size.

Subscriptions

A subscription to Statistics and Its Interface includes both the printed journal and access to the online version. The first two issues of SII, to be published in 2008, will be openly accessible in their online form (i.e., no subscription required). Online access to subsequent issues of Statistics and Its Interface will require a subscription.

2008 subscription (2 issues)

  • Individual: $30 plus shipping/handling.
  • Institutional $275 plus shipping/handling.

Preparing and Submitting a Paper

A paper must be submitted to Statistics and its Interface in electronic form as LaTeX code, or as a Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF file. Authors are encouraged to use the LaTeX authoring package specifically designed for SII. It is available here:

Statistics and its Interface reserves the right to charge the author a modest fee to cover extra typesetting costs when a paper is not submitted as LaTeX.

We require that each author submit his or her paper to Statistics and its Interface through our new online paper-submission system (called the EJMS). To be taken to its log-in page, please click this link:
