Abstract

Let $M$ be a $3$-dimensional handlebody of genus $g \gt 1$. This paper gives examples of hyperbolic knots in $M$ with arbitrarily large genus $g$ bridge number which admit Dehn surgeries which yield boundary-reducible manifolds.
